NO COMFORT FACILITIES
(Nick Plakias)

All along the road where the people go
There's a sign you've seen many times I know
It says you may park and rest but we've got
NO COMFORT FACILITIES.

NO COMFORT FACILITIES
So bon Voyage but no wee wee
How in the world in the twentieth century
Can there be NO COMFORT FACILITIES

They've got a big blue sign, a map and phone
Helpful hints for the traveler far from home
Tell you how many miles to New Jersey
But they got NO COMFORT FACILITIES.

Deep within the heart of hearts
On the State Department of Departments
A presidential appointee says
`NO COMFORT FACILITIES.'

So I hold my breath and I drive a while
The roadside sign says `Sixty Mile'
To the purple mountain majesties
And the next COMFORT FACILITIES.
