A few years ago, the Canadian Folk Bulletin published a neat song, collected in Calgary, called "Where the Ghost River Flows." It's the story of an old cowboy longing to go back to the range he once rode. Wonderful song. Backward, turn backward, Oh time in your flight. Give me a saddle horse, just for tonight... etc. Sort of like "The Last Wagon." Worth looking for. I'll post the full text eventually if anyone wants it. Can't give you the tune though, without the kind assistance of Blessings Barbara and a long-distance phone call.
Still planning to investigate the voicemail option, but haven't done it yet.
