Some years ago I was singing at the Westlands Folk Club at Yoevil, the same night that Martin Carthy was the booked there as the guest. He amused the audience by suggesting that if Britain had sent their malefactors to Greenland instead of Australia it would be Eskimos beating the shit out of us at cricket instead of Aussies!!
