One of the memories of my life was to seeing Jesse Fuller at the Foghorn in B'more. Jessie played a twelve string guitar with his hands, his fotdella with his right foot and a high hat cymbal with his left foot. He had a harmonica and a kazoo taped into a harmonica rack. It all worked! And wonderfully so. Oh, yeah, he sang, too! The fotdella I remember was not a hugh device, maybe the size of an old fender amp turned on its short side. The strings were piano wire stretched from top to bottom. The pedals were like bass drum pedals.
Must have been a challenge for the soundman.
