I know a professional banjo player who has a deal with his garbage collector. He will pay $5 for any instrument that the collector brings him, regardless of condition. The man has made some substantial money culling the treasures from the trash he has received this way. It helps that he is quite knowledgeable about instruments and is successful at "trading up" one instrument for another. Gee, there sure are a lot of ways to make money. Roger in Baltimore
