Cricket, Any relationship between the real world and the Mudcat Cafe is purely coincidental. Any similaritites to the characters here and real people are unintentional. You may have thought you are talking to other people, but this is simply a large program of simulated personalities accompanied by a substantial data base of folk (and other) tunes. The personalities are Max's attempts to give the data base a human face. And it is hereby noted that you have encountered the Gargoyle.
