From relatives in Hawaii I received a nose flute for Christmas. Its a hollow tube about 12" long. The ends of the tube are open. There are four holes drilled in the long side. One near one end where I suspect you blow over it like a true flute and three for fingering for tone change. I haven't yet tried it to see if it is truly "playable". Roger in Baltimore
