Peter's life work has left us all profoundly in his debt. Caroline and I got to know him during our year in London (1957-58) and spent many hours listening to and learning from a number of his field recordings. We have many pleasant memories of song swaps, with Peter playing his squeeze box to accompany his songs. His enthusiasm was truly contagious. I trust there are others at FolkTrax to carry on his mission. Sandy
