GUEST,Sandy Paton Req: Tinni/Tilly/Tiddy/Mama, lend me your pigeon (15) RE: Req: Tinni/Tilly/Tiddy/Mama, lend me your pigeon 10 Jan 07

Caroline and I learned it in the Bahamas, more than thirty years ago, with the lender being "mama." Other verses:

Mama, lend me your turtle to keep company with mine.
My turtle gone swim in the pond, my turtle gone wild.

Mama, lend me your donkey, to keep company with mine.
My donkey gone run on the track, my donkey gone wild.

We used it on our first children's recording - "I've Got a Song" (Folk-Legacy CD-52).

Sandy
