Don't recall where I learned Dink's Song, but it was from some popular 12 string player. Chord progression throughout is C, Em, Am, G. For example:
where / / = One Measure 3/4 Time
C/Em/Am
/G /C/Em/Am
If I had wings,
/G /C/Em/Am
Like Noah's dove.
/G /C/Em/Am
I'd fly up the river,
/G /C/Em/Am/G
To the one I love.
/C /Em /Am
Fare thee well,
/G/C/Em/Am
oh honey,
/G /C/Em/Am
Fare thee well.
My memory says it was Bob Gibson. Whoever it was, they would eventually speed the song up to 6/8 time and then keep the guitar going and stretch the lyrics back to 3/4. 'Twas very powerful to my young listening ears.
Roger in Baltimore (just passin' thru)
Preformat commands
(beginning) and
(end) added to space chords. Does that fix it, O long-lost Roger?
