PHJim, In case Art doesn't get back to you, I'll fill some of it in. Art converted his 6 string guitar by "doubling" three of the strings as one would on a Twelve String Guitar. It is an unusual, but not unheard of, set up. At least one of the old blues singers used this modification. Hope this helps. You can release the bite now. Roger in Baltimore
