Jon Freeman BS: Mudcat Song Circle Room Available Again (25) RE: BS: Mudcat Song Circle Room Available Again 09 Feb 01

I don't want to refresh this thread but as of 1st April 2001, I have taken this room out of circulation. These rules only remain for historical purposes.

Jon

Rules, OK but first let me make it clear that this room simply exists to ensure that something is availible. If other Mudcat Rooms are opened, there will be no debates over divisiveness either way in relation to this room - it is a facility that is there for the taking or leaving.

RULES.

This room aims to support and promote LIVE folk and blues music. Some degree of tolerance will be given to other genres of music, the actual degree of leeway is to be decided upon by the Admin.

Except as described below, this room will not to be used for the playing of recordings and does not permit the use of backing tracks or karaoke.

This room is an open room and Mudcatters and "outsiders" will be welcomed and treated with equal respect.

The maintainence of "Law and Order" in the room is the responsibility of the Admin. If a user has a complaint, it will be addressed in a private message to the Admin who will take appropriate action. Under no circumstances will one user complain to another user in the public text window.

This room may be opened at any time by anyone with the Admin key which is availble to all Mudcatters. I will endeavour to restrict Admin rights to Mudcatters but I reserve the rights to enlist the help of others should the need arise, any such descision being taken at my sole discresion. The conditions for being an Admin are as follows:

The Paltalk Permanent Group Adminstration Guidelines must be followed at all times.

Tolerance and benifit of the doubt must be given to anyone who is in breach of the live music rule by using backing. If, for example, someone sings to a karaoke, and the music is reasonably in keeping with the nature of the room, that person must be allowed to complete thier song before being politely informed that the room is for live music only.

There will be one Admin in the room at all times. It is the responsibility an Admin intending to leave the room to ensure that either someone else takes over the Admin duties or, alternatively, that the room is closed.

Any problems that fall outside the normal Paltalk Admin Guidelines will be reported to me so that the matter can be discussed and appropriate action taken.

An Admin may pass the key to this room on to any Mudcatter on condition that they are willing to accept the conditions outlined here. This key will not be passed on to an "outsider" without my permission.

I reserve the rights to change these rules at any time and for any purpose I deem necessary.

Jon
