After reading a biography of Lead Belly, I suspect Fannin' Street or a similar place was part of his life at some point. Lead Belly certainly was attracted to the "big city life" when he was on the farm. He used to sneak off occasionally to go to places to which his family did not want him to go. Roger in Baltimore
