I started a Winter Solstice thread, naively forgetting that it is the Winter Solstice for only half of the world. For me, too, the Mudcat has opened me up to my own circumscribed view of the world. I tend to think of "my world", that within which I operate on a daily basis, as "the world." It is broadening my perspective to acknowledge the summertime Christmas in Australia (for just one example). See, I was thinking Winter Solstice was "all inclusive", but it isn't, is it?
