Let me tell you, folks, Michael Conley, who runs the venue, gave us a call this morning to rave about Rick's set. I was pleased to learn that Rick did some of the songs from his Folk-Legacy CD, and also a couple from his new Borealis release. Yeah, old Fingers Fielding raised a real ruckus up there. Came back, after his closer ("If Jesus Was a Picker") and the standing ovation, to bring the house down again with "Don't Let Your Deal Go Down." Not bad for a shy, retiring Canadian.
Then Deb C called to add some delighted raving of her own. We got the full report. Hey, Rick! Ya done good! Wish we could have been there to add some whiskey tenor harmony, although I'm told that the audience supplied all the harmony you could have asked for.
See you down this way again, I hope, and soon!
