Philippa: I looked at a number of the DT versions before I decided to go ahead and type the Golden Ring words. There was no way that I wanted to type all that if the text was already nestled there in some obscurely titled oblivion. I saw the version (pretty close, anyway) that I collected from Horton Barker many years ago, contributed by Greenhaus himself. Now there's a guy with excellent taste in ballad texts! His taste in parodies, however... (are you reading this, Dick?) That's the "Two Sisters" that Horton sings on the Folkways album I produced the year before Folk-Legacy got started, thirty-eight years ago. Time flies when you're having fun!
