Just heard this song on the radio. I know it is not folk, it is "bluegrass", but I'm hoping the broad experience of the Mudcatters will allow a response.
It seemed to be relating to the Civil War. The chorus goes:
I picture you in a Spainish Garden,
There I place the rose in your hair.
And if I ever get back on my feet, I will,
I will run all the way just to meet you there.
Since I've only heard it once, help with a tune and or chords will help.
I did check the DT and the COWPIE with no luck.
