I've just come back through Mundsley
from that Frozen eastern shore
I to Cromer bingo went
just to see what on their went
Dame Fortune frowned upon me
as she'd often done before
Now the Proms the only place I can frequent
Cos' I've even lost the shirt that I was lent

As I walk along the Promenade with a chilly derriere
All the girls declare "My, He's in disrepair"
And they close their eyes and wish I'd die
They seem to think my end is nigh
I'm the bloke who come home broke from Cromer Bingo

I was taken to the cleaners
at that Cromer Bingo Hall
I thought I'd lose some dirt
But I only lost me shirt
And then I lost me trousers
and me underwear and all
now the world can see
how small my assets are
and the sailors often hail me from afar
