Friendly singing sessions every Friday in Dublin city centre with open floor and sometimes guest singers.

The Club meets every 2nd wednesday of the month at Bedworth Conservative Club, and also holds a second night most months on the 4th wednesday at Bedworth Rugby Club. The club is quite unique in that there is no admission charge despite the fact that there are top rate guests at almost every meeting (we just pass the jug around so you can give as much or as little as you wish) - our aim is always for everyone, guests, audience and floor singers alike to have a really good time.

Floor singers are always welcome but we get very busy so we reccommend a call or email to reserve a spot, on the night it is very much first come first served - if there is space available. See web site for contact details

Our resident singers' and musicians' material is mostly traditional, as are most of the guest performers we book, but we do like to hear other kinds of music as well, and very much appreciate visitors who perform contemporary, country, blues, or their own material. Even when our guest diary is full floor singers are especially welcome. South Shields Folk Club was formed more than forty years ago and for many years was known as the Marsden Inn Folk Club. We reverted to the original name after leaving the Marsden Inn and for a few years we met at the Old Ship in Harton. We will be meeting every Sunday evening at 7.30 pm in the South Shields and Westoe Club function room. This is also the home of Westoe Rugby Club, South Shields Cricket Club, and Westoe Lawn Tennis Club. It's in Dean Road and the postcode is NE33 4EA.
