There is one joke which is able to be told the same way in German without loosing its humour. I grabbed it in 1985.
I was on my way to Ireland and met with some friends at a Pub. We were waiting for others to join the session. And we were waiting for Shay Black. It became later and later and Tony said, playing some chords on his bouzouki: "... Shay said he would come at 9 o' clock...... but he didn't say which day"
By clicking on the User Name, you will requery the forum for that user. You will see everything that he or she has posted with that Mudcat name.
