Oh, BTW Brian; I have all the lyrics & music I need for "Maid" - all it needs now is PRACTICE! There seem to be several versions of it both lyrics and melody, so I've mixed & matched from my favorites of such variations as I've been able to dig up. It sounds pretty nice on the whistle, BTW. The tune I had stuck in my mind last week was the old Chanty "South Australia" which I heard last week on the Irish Music radio show. The lyrics were easily collected here on the Digitrad DB, along with a memory-refreshing MIDI file. Ain't this just a wickked nifty resource?! In July, our Daughter was married aboard the "Katahdin" excursion steamer on Moosehead Lake, and it was beautiful. I "piped" the Bride to the makeshift altar at the stern per her request to "Wilde Mountain Thyme" on the Clarke tin whistle, and needless to say it was a magical, sacramental moment. If I could figure out how to post a picture here, I'd love to share one which another Family Member took of the event.
