on pre-emptive strikes in 1934 Poland made an offer to France that they fight a pre-emptive war against Nazi Germany. it didnt happen although it mightve saved millions of lives. in 1981 Israel bombed the Osirak Nuclear reactor in Baghdad (a nuclear reactor in one of the worlds most oil rich nations) an act condemned around the world, but tacitly supported by most of the powers. (morally justified - absolutely although the only casualty was a French physicist) when Vietnam invaded Cambodia, in the late 70s' and ended PolPots murderous bloodbath, it certainly doesnt fit Little Hawks moral principles of war - self defence, etc. and yet there was very little international opposition to the invasion - Even though the Vietnamese reasons were far from humanitarian.
