1.what is your age range? Almost 53
2. gender? female
3. Do you have a favorite color? Purple; plum shades
4. favorite authors/ type of book? I love Dick Francis but I've read them all at least 3 times. I read a lot of mysteries. I like cookbooks.
5. what books have you really been wanting?
I'm a librarian and can get virtually any book I want, so I don't really need or want books. But I would love a "recommended reading list" from my Santa, especially mysteries or legal thrillers. A book you'd like me to read and then discuss with you would be great.
6. what type of music do you like? Old country and western, especially western. I love cowboy music. I am especially crazy about yodeling.
7. what cds have you really been wanting? none I can think of
8. What movies have you been wanting? None. I buy them for my library, so I can get what I want.
9. what is your t-shirt size? I don't wear t-shrits
10. do you collect anything? if so, what? I collect buffalo – preferably wood, stone, or clay. NOT resin or anything modern looking. I like pictures of them, too – painting, drawings, etc.
11. what are some of your other hobbies? I make jewelry, mostly with vintage glass beads and wire work. I love to cook and bake. I live in Kansas and my favorite pastime is to drive around the state, especially to little towns, so I spend a lot of spare time in the car.
12. do you prefer gold-tone or silver-tone jewelry? I like old glass beads. I also like 50's style costume. The metal tone doesn't matter.Funky is good.
13. please include anything else you feel is important that would help your secret santa know what you would like: Most of my house is decorated in a cowboy theme, so something appropriate for the house would be great. The theme is WESTERN, as opposed to south-western (i.e. not hot peppers and coyotes). Pictures of Roy and Gene and Gabby are everywhere. I love watching Gunsmoke and Rawhide and Have Gun Will Travel, et al. I like western themed pictures for the walls. Again, nothing resin or too modern looking. Tacky(like a snowdome)is good , cute/sweet is a big NO. But all that aside, I would love something from the locale of my santa, and/or something that reflects them. Homemade presents are the absolute best! Again, recommended reading, viewing, or listening lists would be very welcome. And I love tasty morsels - something you really like to eat.
Allegies: I'm allergic to precious moments, paintings on velvet, opera and rap.
From CapriUni
1) Would you prefer a serious or silly gift, or a little bit of both? Either is fine.
2) Is there one post on Mudcat that you particularly like ... I like the threads that get silly- things like "vouchers for virgins" and "funny-butt" and "snow-flies". I love Mondegreens.
3) one of your favorites quotes... I have lots, but probably as high on the list as anything (and it is in Bartlett's) is Sir Edmund Burke: The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Whatever you do, don't waste any angst. I'm easy to please and I'm sure I'll love whatever I get.
