Liz Simcock & friends appeared at the Sportsman, Croxley Green last night Liz played an amazing set, portraying her full repertoire of moods & tempos through her vocals & exemplary guitar playing Her song writing is thoughtful & imaginatively arranged, linking effortlessly with her two fellow musicians Singing a few songs solo such as Bird (the story of wishing our live were as simple as a Bird) & Masterpiece, the set progressed to entwine two wonderful guitars & a percussionist (with a variety of instruments & styles) The set finished at a fast pace & a rousing encore Her first CD is on sale & I would recommend a listen Brilliant support from Martin Dent & John Breeze/Christine made it a great night Robb Johnson is next on at the Shed, The Sportsman on the 19th November 2003
