Hi Guys, I made it to the Bards and Ballads and then on to the guitar summit and even on to the pickers paradise. First person I met there was Bob Massie, Anna's father. He was nervous, she was nervous and even I was nervous but as Sandy said, she proved that she is up there with these guys. I was there with a bunch of very tallanted kids from Plockton and they were more than impressed with JP. It was a great pity, however to hear on the news, just before I left, that his van got brocken into and all his instruments were stolen. Let's hope that he gets them back safely. My favourite night of the festival was the "Biggest Square Dance in the World". I love Baddeck as a place and the atmosphere of about 1100 peaple all enjoying themselves was very infectious. I actually was walking down the street on the Sunday and got interviewed by CTV. I obvioulsy praised the festival but just had to say that what made it even more special was the sheer warmth and friendliness of the people. Well done to all Cape Brettoners, I'm now back in Skye and saving up for next year. A bit of good news! The no frills airline, Zoom are going to do cheap returns from Glasgow to Halifax starting next spring. Chi mi rithist thu! Andy
