Don't want to spoil your enjoyment, but after reading an internet page about diy flutes of standard US domestic water pipe, I made one in half an hour. Next I made one with both the G and D sticks - they work fine, and cost me about 4 US dollars. The nice thing about making yer own is tuning it like you would expect an expensive instrument to sound. Fancy bits can be added - like the lip rest, the top ferule/cap etc. All these are made from pipe fittings. The sound is BTW very nice for something that costs less than a burger and fries. (:
