Is there - or has there been- a songwriting competition based on contestants writing a song with the same set theme. I would be fascinated to hear the outcome. For example, does anyone think that the following theme could produce interesting songs: "A mother ponders upon the fact that her 18 year old daughter is leaving home and going off to college".
