Judy Small is not as well known as some other Aussie folk song writers but to my mind there are none better. When I first heard the song she ended it "and we believed them" but when she toured Australia with Ronnie Gilbert ten or so years back, they did it as a duet and finished with a last line of "but we are learning". I thought that was a nice touch. She doesn't tour much these days, though I saw her a few months ago in Adelaide and she was as great as ever. Don't miss it if you get a chance to see her.
