Hi Skarpi, I suppose it depends on the guitar and pickup. I use a Takamini with Autosound Country Gold strings. I like the light guage 11 and let the amplifier do the rest. We have almost drought conditions and fairly mild weather here on the isle of Skye. It also looks like all the cod from the north sea have moved up north as they like the colder water. By the way, it doesn't get bright untill 09:00 here and gets dark again at 16:30. What's your daylight hours in Iceland?
