The spirit of Christmas, that wave of good will and longing for peace that blesses us in the dead of winter, is a blessing that transends religion and philosophy. For a few, sweet weeks, we act as we should toward one another. We smile at strangers and we sing out loud and we give gifts and we gain joy in the giving. I don't care why this happens and I don't even mind that we go back to our more self involved lives when the season ends. I am grateful for these days of fellowship and for the glow that reinforces my faith in humanity. I am a Jew and I am pleased to wish you a very merry Christmas. Your holiday has brought me happiness and I thank you for it. Mike Miller
