Hi Peter, Don't sell the great Hans Hotter short..... His Wotan on the Decca/Solti Ring Cycle from the 60's still is the benchmark for all aspiring Wagnerian Basses. His "Wotans Farewell" from Die Walkure with Birgit Nilsson was & is pure magic. Mind you, I do like his Schubert lieder also, but then, I prefer Wagner to Schubert. Cheers Dave
