Just surfing through this forum as i usually do but couldn't resist voting for my favourite June Tabor song performance: "King of Rome" written by someone whose last name is Salsbury. Lyrics are on the site here. I believe this is on the album "Aqaba" but I have also seen her do it on a Ken Russell short film entitled "In Search of the English Folk Song" (recommended for its very quirky look at British folk music) I never understood the British working class fascination with racing pigeons until I heard this song. Stunning! I'll vote with some others that almost anything June sings is wonderful. cheers, Stephen H.
