Jerry, the main reason I am so fond of Joe Pass is what you apparently don't hear, that is the song itself. On most of my 10 or so cds from Pass, to me the tunes, or songs, are very recognizable, which I don't always hear in other guitarists. I particularly like the album " Unforgetable "
