Neatly put, Dave. A further problem with the cross-correlation mentioned in the first post is that the Judaeo-Christian Pentateuch and the Babylonian tome are one and the same document... Just with a few plurals removed in translation ('Nephilim' is a plural, 'Elohim' is also - but 'El' is not). I read the Asimov book as well. Fascinating, well researched, and scientific. Unlike theories about bodies the size of Venus colliding with the Earth, or whatever.
