Take another look, Sue B, as 1) two months ago there was a lot of really uninformed writing on Clark, and 2) by all accounts he has vastly improved "on the stump."   Very much to Clark's credit, I think, is the way he is NOT bashing his Dem. rivals even as they tell blatant untruths about him (Dean supporters are now distributing flyers calling Clark a "Republican" and "pro- war" -- and THEY're complaining about dirty tactics?) Instead, Clark is staying focused on where this country is heading, or should be heading, and sounding a hell of a lot more presidential than his attackers.   "I guess that's what politicians do," he said when reporters asked him what he thought of the Dean flyers and (in response to the "wolf in sheep's clothing" charge) "I never saw the Democrats as sheep."
As Clark surges, the attacks will probably intensify, but we fully expect our candidate to stay calm under fire. He's in this for the long haul, to bring the country together again, not divide it into sniping enemy camps. Still, for anyone totally confused by the Dem. mudslinging and in need of some chapter-and-verse myth rebuttals, there's clarkmyths.com. I'd also
recommend the unofficial and very informative wesleyclarkweblog.com, also ex-deaniacs for clark (click on "research" for some great articles) and The Isikoff-Newell Report on Politics. Good reading and welcome in!
