a   bit of relief today; the temperature will go into the 30s this afternoon! It is still windy though. I am actually going to venture out tonight after being a bit of a hermit in this cold. I can't believe the weather is still the top nes story! It does seem horrible to me that there are homeless who won't go in to sleep even when encouraged to. A few have died here. In worcester they have 88 beds to 3000 homeless.
Only one old woman so far in her own house, though. The thermostat was turned off. No one knows why, as she lived alone and had neighbors who checked on her intermittently.
