I am extremely fortunate to have spent a few weeks working with Rikki Fulton on a tour of 'Peter Pan' . He was, as tradition has it, doubling the roles of Mr Darling and Captain Hook. The tour started in England, and Rikki played both roles using a perfect English accent. When the tour arrived at The Kings in Glasgow, nothing appeared to have changed. Mr Darling was, as usual, the typical English Gentleman. However, there was a long pause and glint of pure mischief in his eyes when Rikki came on as Hook. The wave of recognition, relief and heartfelt warmth that hit the stage when Hook started to speak in a glorious Scottish accent was astonishing.   As was the shock of the rest of the English cast. He hadn't warned them!

A greatly loved and gifted performer, and a rare privilege to have been able to watch him work his magic on live audiences.
