Does anybody know anything about the song "Kitty Ellen"? It is NOT a version of Barbra Allen. My grandfather sang it to me when I was very small. I remember it was about a man who loved a lovely girl. The only line I remember is "When I heard that she was dead, I laid my banjo down and cried." I think he learned it when he traveled to the South. Thanks
