Martin Gibson mentioned shopping at Wal Mart and having a really terrific experience. He then said: "Stilly River sage and Don Firth, why don't you learn something about life instead of calling someone a fool who might just have more of a handle on life than a narrow minded folksinger and his stooge." Sorry, MG. Shopping at Wal Mart does not mean you have a handle on life. It means you went out and bought ordinary (if not downright tacky) goods at the lowest possible price, and received the lowest possible quality in return. Doesn't sound like much of a "handle on life" to me -- it sounds distinctly low-class and second-rate. Some people don't mind that.
