You are right mudjack,, there have been some pretty bad examples from some adults, including adultry at Bluegrass Festivals.. Hey I didn't mean to paint parents with a broad brush, and, the incompetent ones are in the minority, say, harpgirl, how did your child get on the other side of the Suwannee River? Where I camp (Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park) it is too wide to wade, and I sure as hell wouln't swim with 'gators.
