Sell used instruments on consignment ONLY. Reasons being, you don't want to take up space AND good instruments disappear at folk festivals and the thieves want to turn a quick deal by selling you the instrument. Work out a business plan and be honest with yourself. How long can you afford to loose money? Yes, musicians can show instruments. Make sure they have good sales experience as well. Check their references and insist they provide a copy of their criminal background check. You don't want any known thieves working for you. If you have enough room, have weekly jam sessions!
