CarolC, Are you sure it was a kibbutz? While Israel does have settlements in the West Bank, it's always been my understanding that none of them are kibbutzes. Kibbutzniks tend to be from the left side of the Israeli political spectrum and would not be present in the occupied territories. The Israeli West Bank settlers tend to be right wing and believe that the territories are part of the land promised to them by God.
