Dear Kat
I've written many poems for my animals when they have left me, but they're about individuals and Shadowfax should have her own poem. But there is a beautiful chant I have sung every time I have buried one of my beloved. I don't know who wrote it. I heard it first on a commune 20 years ago. I wish I could send you the tune, but I can't write musical script. The words go:
May the long-time sun shine upon you All love surround you And may the clear light within you Guide your way home.
That's all. Thanks for sharing Shadowfax's story. I think the love that reaches beyond species may be the most important love of all.
