Coyote Breath Lyr Req: A song about Christ's Passion (9) Lyr Req: A song about Christ's Passion 02 Mar 04

I have parts of a song stuck in my brain. I think that it was performed by the Phipps Family. I have no idea of the title.

Here are what words I do remember (the tune is similar to "The Knoxville Girl")

They mocked Him and they scorned Him
They even pierced His side
The water and blood came pouring down
The sins of men to hide
They say He uttered not a word
He knew he had to die
The awful shame (pain?) our Saviour bore

The day is surely coming
When He'll return again
He'll sit (stand?) upon the throne of God
And judge the souls of men

I tried to search for the Phipps Family and there is a Folkways index but for some reason I keep getting "do you want to debug" messages each time I try to click on the link.

If anyone can steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I wish to incorporate the song in a "sermon" I am going to present at church which deals with the Passion.
