Gweltas the owner is a great guy as is his son Kevin. If you are there there's no problem with english as both of them are fluent. They are also native Breton speakers and I believe that Gwletas has a bit of Donegal gaelic. Quimper itself is a beautiful city and there are lots of great wee pubs where you can hear good music and have lots of great craic. There's a brilliant festival around August which has much more informality than the big Lorient one
