In the Australian news yesterday: Monday, March 29, 2004. 1:37pm (AEST) Pubs warned against overcharging for water Hotels and bars that overcharge customers for bottled water have been warned they face fines of up to $22,000. Under the current laws, water sold at hotels has to cost less than the cheapest alcoholic drink. The Department of Gaming and Racing in New South Wales is investigating complaints of people being refused tap water and charged up to $3.00 for a bottle of water.
