Robin, your mic would probably be ok if you could preamp it somehow. Generally, I don't think mics made for computer use are very satisfactory. Tonight I was using the same AKG C1000 condenser mic that I gig with, which has a pretty hot signal. I used to use a dynamic mic run through a 4 track recording deck, and that seemed to work pretty good too. Your sound actually wasn't bad when you had the mic turned up. Sandy
