MickyMan Sunday Slow Jam, Colchester CT, USA (9) Sunday Slow Jam, Colchester CT, USA 04 Apr 04

We meet at Starbucks in Colchester on Sundays at
5:30pm - 7:30pm (directions pasted below)and go over songs and
tunes in that quiet setting for a while [ I have
permission for this]. If we work up anything that is truly performable we go a few doors down to Billy O'Brian's Irish Pub and crash that place with a quick Irish set.
This is being listed as a Slow-Jam, which means that we will present tunes very slowly and play them through multiple times. Come even if you just sort of play an instrument a little, little bit (or like to gawk, talk, or sing along). This is also a bit of an excuse for us like minded people to sit down and drink coffee together.(I have this listed on thesessions.org, a site for just this kind of thing.)
The host has a bunch of tunes printed out in standard notation, but we'll be doing them slowly so come even if you can't read. Bring a music stand if you have one.
You may wish to go and have an earlier dinner at Billy O'Brian's. It is a nice place with a good Irish atmosphere and good food.
DIRECTIONS:
Come from wherever on Rte 2 East or West    -    take
Exit 18 in either direction    -   Right at the end of
the exit (in either direction) and go toward
Colchester Center on Rte 16East   -   Pass Blockbuster
on the right and quickly drive up to the town green
(between the big white churchon the right and the town
library on the left)   -   with the green in front of
you take a LEFT AT THE LIGHT and pass Billy O'Brian's
Irish Pub on your left   -   turn left at the next
light in to the plaza after Billy O'Brian's   -
Starbucks is in this plaza, facing the smaller
memorial green across the street
