My family was named Ross and rented land from Juan Castro around 1865 for about a year. They were immigrants from Illinois. Im wondering if Lillian Bos Ross is from this leniage of Ross and was she aware of the family history there. Likely a coincidence...but seeing her name on the song made me wonder.
