Áine Song Challenge! Part 94 (78* d) RE: SONG CHALLENGE! Part 94 05 Apr 04

Charley, now that's some fowl humor!

I decided to go country on this one (after a little push from Uncle Amos). Don't think it'll get me on Nashville Star; but, that may be a good thing ;-)

Nicky, Don't Bring That Chicken Back Home From Ray's Food Place
(Tune: Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys)

Nicky, don't bring that chicken back home from Ray's Food Place.
Those SPCA folks will get up in arms,
When they can't get next to her free-ranging charms.
Nicky, don't bring that chicken back home from Ray's Food Place.
She just has to roam, she'll never stay home, it's that ol' rooster Jekyll she loves.

Chickens that live up in Murphy, they're easy to love.
That's why on occasion, they can get scooped up from above.
They might look easy, with loose wings and feathered behinds.
But they're here to stay, so the townsfolk all say, and they belong with their own kind.

Speckles and Jekyll were cozy and snug in the news bin.
When Nicky's cold hands went searching for something to love.
But ol' Sherriff Daniels was put on the case in a rush then.
And he wasn't too sweet, in his squad car seat, when he pushed Nicky's red Speedo'd tush in.

Thank you, thank you very much... ;-)
